Vladimir Vasilievich Avilov (? —1877) - Russian teacher , secret adviser .
In 1837 he graduated from the 1st Moscow Gymnasium with a silver medal [1] .
He entered the service in 1841 [2] . He was a senior lecturer at the 3rd Moscow Grammar School [3] .
In 1856 he was appointed director of the 2nd Moscow Gymnasium ; was awarded the Order of St. Stanislav , 2nd art. with the imperial crown (1859) and St. Anne of the 2nd art. (1860); November 29, 1862 promoted to full state councilors [4] .
In 1864 he was appointed inspector of Moscow University [5] .
Then he was for special assignments at the Main Directorate of the Military Educational Institutions [6] . He was awarded the Order of St. Vladimir 3rd art. (1866), St. Anne 1st Art. (1868) with an imperial crown to this order (1870) [7] .
Privy Councilor since April 16, 1872 [8] . He died in 1877 [2] .
