Biography
Mikhail Pandzhavidze was born in a family of violinists serving in the Turkmen Opera and Ballet Theater (Ashgabat).
He graduated from the Turkmen State Music College with a violin class, for 8 years he worked in an opera orchestra.
Having entered the faculty of musical theater of GITIS - the department of directing (workshops of V. A. Miller and M. A. Osherovsky ) graduated in 1997 as a director of musical theater. In 2001 he entered graduate school (supervisor - professor, people's artist of the USSR G.P. Ansimov), which he graduated in 2003. Since December 1997 he entered the internship group of the Bolshoi Theater, which he graduated in 2000.
Creative Biography
Since September 2000 he worked as a full-time director of the theater. Since 2001, the head of the directorial group of the Bolshoi Theater (2000-2012) where he carried out a number of concert and thematic programs.
The director of several productions of the opera Boris Godunov M. Musorgsky : in the framework of the Moscow Easter Festival together with V. Gergiev ; at the International Opera Festival. Barsova and Maksakova; director of the joint production of Teatro Verdi ( Trieste ) and the Bolshoi Theater ; the director of the adaptation of the production of this performance (1948) of the Bolshoi Theater for showing in the "live scenery" of the Svyatogorsky monastery ; major renewal of the production of the Bolshoi Theater for Covent Garden .
Collaborates with opera houses of Russian cities ( Astrakhan , Volgograd , Magnitogorsk , Yekaterinburg , etc.). Since 2010 - chief director of the National Bolshoi Academic Opera and Ballet Theater of the Republic of Belarus.
From 2006 to 2008 - artistic director of the State Theater "Tsaritsyn Opera".
In 2006, he staged the Akhiyarova’s opera “Poet's Love” at the Tatar Opera and Ballet Theater - the first performance in the history of the theater nominated for the Golden Mask National Theater Award of Russia . Mikhail Pandzhavidze was awarded the Tatarstan State Prize for staging the opera Love of the Poet. G. Tukaya (2008).
