Judith Ajssen ( Judith Lillian Aissen ; genus. June 4, 1948) - American linguist, Mayan, specialist in the Tsotsilsky language [1] . Fello of the American Linguistic Society (2008) [2] , Ph.D. (1974), Emeritus Professor of Linguistics at the University of California, Santa Cruz [3] . Marked by the Kenneth L. She began studying Mayan languages in 1972 as a graduate student at Harvard Linguist and in 1974 she received a Ph.D. in linguistics there [6] [7] . Since 1983, at the University of California at Santa Cruz [8] . Conducted field research at in Mexico [9] .
She is devoted to the essay book Representing Language: Essays in honor of Judith Aissen (2011) [10] .
