Candidate of historical sciences A. Yu. Saran writes (2015) that under the names of Kitaev, Bednikovo is also a village, then the village is mentioned in documents in 1844-2010; it was included in the following ATDs: Krivtsovskaya vol., Repninskaya vol., Bolkhovsky u., Sechinsky s / s (1926), Mikhnevsky s / s, Bolkhovsky district [3] (List-1866.
