Tarangul ( Small Tarangul [3] ; Kazakh. Kishi Torakyl ) is a lake in the Shal Akyn region of North Kazakhstan region of Kazakhstan . On the shore of the lake are the villages Novopokrovka and Beloglinka . A creek [2] Burley flows into the lake.

According to a topographical survey of the 1940s, the surface area of the lake is 25.47 km². The greatest length of the lake is 6.4 km, the greatest width is 5 km. The coastline is 18.4 km, the coastline development is 1.02. The lake is located at an altitude of 179.2 m above sea level [1] .
According to a 1957 survey, the surface area of the lake is 25.7 km². The maximum depth is 4.98 m, the volume of water mass is 88.8 million m³, the total catchment area is 970 km² [2] .
The shore is sandy and smooth. The bottom of the lake is mostly even, the sediment thickness is 0.1 - 0.3 m. The content of mineral substances ranges from 2.5 to 8 g / l. Rich in algae (52 species found), there are 19 species of fish.
The lake is included in the list of local fisheries. There is a lake-commercial fish farm [3] . Water is used for household needs.
