Biography

From early childhood he lived in Barnaul. Pupil of Barnaul football, coach - Vladimir Vasilyevich Zhuchkov. In adult football, he made his debut in 1962 as part of the local “ Tempo ” in class “B” , having played 29 matches in the first season. He started as a right midfielder, but was later defended.

In 1963–1964, he served in the military, during this period he played for SKA (Novosibirsk) . During the training camp in Samarkand, falling into a trench, he suffered a spinal fracture and a leg injury, due to which he missed a year and a half and received a second disability group, he actually learned to walk again, but in the end he was able to return to football.

After the service, he returned to Barnaul, where for more than 10 years he was the main defender of Tempo / Dynamo. In 1967 he was among the 11 best footballers of the RSFSR, in 1968 he was awarded the title of Master of Sports of the USSR. The winner of the zonal tournament in the second league in 1974. Was the captain of the team. In just 12 years in the Barnaul club played 376 matches and scored 18 goals.

He played for the national team of the RSFSR (1967).

After the end of his playing career, he worked as a coach (1976) and as a head coach (1977–1979) of Dynamo Barnaul. He drew into the main team a large group of young players, under his leadership, the well-known future players Vladimir Kobzev (who was transferred by the coach from the position of the goalkeeper to the attack), Vladimir Fink , Vladimir Gryngazov , Valery Chupin and others began to play.

Later he worked as a trainer in the children's school “Lokomotiv” and as a physical education teacher at the Barnaul school No. 55. At the end of his life he had problems with alcohol.

He died in Barnaul on March 10, 2000 at the 57th year of life from foot gangrene.

In the XXI century in Barnaul, a traditional children's tournament in the memory of Vladimir Skorichenko is held [1] .

Game Style

In attack, Skorichenko was very dangerous, since he knew the psychology of the defender well, played well with his head, had a powerful kick from his right foot. It happened that he scored the most important goals ... In the defense, Skorichenko was reliable, thorough, and most of the counterattacks began precisely through him.
