Biography
Born into a peasant family. In 1897, after graduating from the Vilna Military School in the II category, he was promoted to lieutenant and released into the Maloyaroslavsky 116th Infantry Regiment .
In 1898 he was promoted to second lieutenant and transferred to the Ust-Dvinsky 179th Infantry Regiment . In 1902, promoted to lieutenant and transferred to the 2nd convoy personnel battalion. In 1906 he was promoted to headquarters captain and transferred to the 58th Infantry Regiment in Prague .
Since 1914, a participant in World War I , a captain , since 1916, a lieutenant colonel , a battalion commander of the 60th Infantry Regiment of Zamotsky , was wounded. By the highest order of February 24, 1915, he was awarded the St. George Arms for courage [1] :
