Brateyevskaya floodplain

Park "Brateevskaya floodplain" - a park in the southern administrative district of Moscow in the area of Brateevo . It is located in the southeast of the city, on the territory of the floodplain of the Moscow River , from where it got its name. Officially opened on July 10, 2018 [1] .

Content

Location

The park is located east of the residential area of ​​the Brateevo region, east of Alma-Ata , Brateevskaya and Klyuchevaya streets of the district, and west of the channel of the Moscow River . The landscaped area of ​​the park is 80 hectares (according to other sources [2] - 82.2 hectares), and the entire territory of the park, if the lower reaches of the Gorodni river is included, is 190 hectares [1] [3] .

The metro station closest to the park is Alma-Atinskaya , in the northern part of the park there is also a bus stop 48 Ulitsa Borisovskie Prudy (at the end of the street of the same name ).

History

The improvement of the park was launched in July 2017. The concept of developing the territory of the park was developed taking into account the opinion of Muscovites who took part in the voting on the Active Citizen portal, who expressed a desire for the presence of sports and environmental components of the park [2] [1] . At the end of May 2018, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Public Improvement Peter Biryukov confirmed the complete readiness of the natural zone [4] . In February 2019, a fauna reserve was established in the park to preserve endangered species of animals [5] .

Infrastructure

The park has many zones and objects for sports purposes. The highlight of the park is a diamond-shaped baseball field ( tennis-coated ), where games of the Moscow Amateur Baseball League and training of the Spartak amateur baseball club are held [2] [6] .

Other sports areas of the park include a football field (which can be converted into an ice rink in winter), a five-a-side football field, a parkour field, two workout grounds, a skate park, a basketball court, two volleyball courts, and a tennis court [ 3] [6] . Bike infrastructure is also developed: 13 km of bicycle paths are laid in the park, illuminated in the dark (in winter it is possible to convert to ski slopes) [3] [6] .

A summer outdoor solarium with 14 wooden sun loungers with an area of ​​208 square meters was organized on the banks of the Moscow River [6] , 10 piers and 14 runs for water lovers were equipped. [2] The park has five playgrounds, three quiet recreation areas, and gazebos for recreation and for a picnic, a summer cinema with 110 seats and a stage for events. For pet owners, they made two sites for walking dogs [1] [3] . For the safety of visitors and for better navigation, 18 information boards, 546 lighting poles and a video surveillance system have been installed in the park [2] . In the course of landscaping, 1.8 thousand trees, 13.3 thousand bushes were planted, 170 thousand square meters of lawns and 1.5 thousand square meters of flower beds were broken [3] .

Fauna

According to the Department of Environmental Protection and Environmental Protection , 174 bird species were observed in the park, 42 ​​of which are Red Book . In addition to birds, 21 species of animals of other groups, also listed in the Red Book, live on the territory of the reserve. Ten of them are mammals, nine are amphibians and two are reptiles [5] .
