About the worldly life of Karmazinsky information is almost not preserved, it is only known that he was β from the Zapolskiy border, his son's son β [1] .
In one of the monasteries of the city of Smolensk, Karmazinsky took monastic tonsure with the name Cyprian and from 1738 to 1740 was the prefect and archimandrite conciliator of the Smolensk Theological Seminary [1] .
December 17, 1744, as a scholar, was summoned by the Holy Synod from the Trinity Boldin monastery of the Smolensk diocese , at the request of the archbishop of Moscow Joseph (Volchansky) to the Lavrentiev monastery of the city ββof Kaluga to preach among dissenters in order to return them to the bosom of the Orthodox Church [1] [2 ] ] .
Cyprian Karmazinsky died on April 22, 1754 [1] .
