Surname history
Loboda were representatives of the Orthodox gentry and the Cossacks . Some Loboda were a noble family , the coat of arms of which was included in the VII part of the General Armorial of the noble families of the Russian Empire . The nobles deduced the origin of the surname from the name of the country of Lebed . Part of Lobod moved to the Kuban [1] , where later, apparently in the 30s of the XX century, the surname was transformed into Lobodinov , on the Don - into Lobodin .
Emblem Description
There are descriptions of the three emblems of Loboda.
1. VII part of the General Stamp of the noble families of the Russian Empire, p. 111 [2] : The shield, which has a red field, shows a golden ship with a silver pillar in the middle, and on the bow and stern there are golden lion heads. The shield is crowned with a noble helmet and crown, on the surface of which is located the shield of the indicated ship. The mark on the shield is red, lined with gold.
2. Archive of the Chernihiv deputy assembly No. 5105: Shield: silver arrow twice crossed in a red field. Crest: a fox emerging to the left ( Fox ).
3. Archive of the Chernihiv deputy assembly No. 413: Shield: two growing stems of a quinoa (loboda); Above: seven stars on the right, the eclipse moon on the left [3] .
