Robert Ivanovich Kochiev (born March 16, 1966 in the city of Tskhinvali of the South Ossetian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic) is a Russian statesman and politician, a deputy of the State Duma of the VI convocation. Member of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption. Member of the Communist Party faction [1] .

Biography
In 1989, he received a higher medical education in the specialty "Pediatrics" after graduating from the North Ossetian State Medical Institute.
From 1993 to 2005, he worked at the Sevospotrebsoyuz Vladikavkaz Trade and Production Enterprise as Deputy General Director. From 2005 to 20011, he worked at Zabava LLC as a general director [2] .
In 2007, he was elected to the Parliament of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania of the fourth convocation according to the lists of the Communist Party [3] .
In 2011, he ran for the State Duma in the list of candidates of the Communist Party, as a result of the distribution of mandates, he became a deputy of the State Duma of the VI convocation [4] .
In 2016, he ran for the State Duma of the VII convocation in a single-mandate constituency and according to the lists of the Communist Party, for several days withdrew his candidacy from the elections in a single-mandate constituency, did not go to the State Duma on the lists of the Communist Party [5] .
In 2017, he was elected to the Parliament of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania of the sixth convocation according to the lists of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation [6] , and was nominated as a temporary non-working member [7] .
