Geography
It is located on the western slope of the Tromberg (Lubin) hill with road 96 north of the administrative center of the municipality of Groostvoice.
Neighboring settlements: in the north - the village of Belshetsy , in the south - the administrative center of the commune of Gropospostvits, in the west - the village of Debsetsy of the commune of Obergugurig and in the north-west - the village of Dzheniketsy [2] .
History
First mentioned in 1399 under the name Raschaw [3] .
Since 1934 enters the modern commune of Gropospostvits [4] .
Currently, the village is part of the cultural-territorial autonomy " Luzhitsky Settlement Region ", on whose territory there are legislative acts of the lands of Saxony and Brandenburg, which contribute to the preservation of Lusatian languages and the culture of Luzhich [5] [6] .

According to the statistical work “Dodawki k statisticy a etnografiji łužickich Serbow” by Arnoš Muki in 1884, 236 people lived in the village (191 of them were Serbian citizens (81%)) [8] .
