Bdelyrus iauaretensis (lat.) Is a species of lamellar beetles of the genus Bdelyrus from the subfamily Scarabaeinae . Neotropics : Brazil (Amazonas, Iauarete). The view is named the location of the discovery of the type series.

Description
Body length up to 8.24 mm, width up to 4.20 mm. They are distinguished by the angular parameters of males with the square shape of their peaks, as well as large hind femurs. Females have a triangular region on the anal stern. The eyes are large. Clypeus steps forward. The interorbital distance is 6 eye diameters; clypeus forehead and cheeks roughly punctured. The main body color is brownish-black, shiny [1] [2] . Dung beetle inhabits the evergreen rainforests of the Amazon. Antenna with 3-segmented mace. Hind tibia with single apical spur [1] [3] [4] [5] . The species was first described in 1998 by Canadian entomologist Joyce Cook ( Joyce Cook , North Augusta, Ontario , Canada ) based on materials collected in Bolivia [1] .
