Savva Moshoksky (d. 1592 ) - priest of the Russian Orthodox Church , clergyman of the church of St. Apostle John the Theologian in the village of Moshok (now Sudogodsky district, Vladimir region of Russia ). Reliably practically nothing is known about the life of Savva Moshoksky.

Biography
He served in the church of St. John the Evangelist in the village of Moshok [1] . With his blessing, according to local tradition, a miraculous list of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God was brought to the temple from Kazan [2] .
According to the life on the site of the Sudogda Deanery of the Vladimir Diocese : “He saved people with his ascetic, selfless life, unceasing prayer, fasting, with God's help. It was a true shepherd who prayed for the sick, comforted the unfortunate, urging people to a true, ardent faith in God. He affirmed many in the faith, waging a continuous struggle against apostasy ” [3]
An iconographic original of the 18th century that belonged to G. D. Filimonov describes him this way: “The priest, the new miracle worker of Vladimir, like a sedan, aka Vlasiev’s brad, priest's vestments” [4] .
Canonization and veneration
Canonized in 1982 as part of the Cathedral of Vladimir Saints . Protodeacon Andrei Kuraev calls this canonization the first case of the inclusion of a non-religious priest (with the exception of martyrs and holy fools) in the priesthood [5] .
The veneration of Savva Moshoksky began to be revived in Moshka with the restoration in late 1990 of the Assumption Parish [6] [7] .
In 2002, the icon of the righteous presbyter Savva Moshoksky was painted, the troparion, the kondak and the prayer to the saint, as well as his life, were composed. The basis of life was the research of the Murom local historians and oral traditions that existed in Moshka among the pious laity [6] .
In 2010, with the blessing of the Metropolitan of Vladimir and Suzdal Eulogius (Smirnov), the life of Savva Moshoksky was released as a separate brochure, the circulation of which was quickly distributed [6] .
On October 23, 2011, in the Assumption Church of the village of Moshok, the aisle was consecrated in the name of the righteous presbyter Savva, Metropolitan Eulogius taught the blessing to make an akathist to the saint. The blessing of the ruling bishop was performed [6] [7] . At the end of August 2012, the dean of the Sudogda district, Archpriest George Morokhin, submitting the text of an akathist to Archbishop Eulogius for consideration, wrote in his report: “Having acquainted with the akathist to the holy righteous presbyter Savva Moshoksky, I respectfully inform you that this akathist consistently sets out and fulfills the life of the saint. thoughts and feelings of the pious. In early September 2012, the akathist to the holy righteous presbyter Savva Moshoksky was blessed by Metropolitan Yevlogiy (Smirnov) for liturgical use at the parish of the Assumption Church in the village of Moshok, where he has since been regularly read [9] .
In 2012, Moshka celebrated the four hundred and twentieth anniversary of the repose of the holy righteous presbyter Savva Moshoksky. The festive service was performed with a procession of the cross [9] .
In 2014, the akathist was published by the publishing department of the Vladimir diocese along with the life of St. Sava Moshoksky and the text “The Abridged Catechism” written in the 19th century [9] .
