Geographical position
Jesús Gomez-Portugal is located in the central part of the state, about 4 kilometers north of the city of Aguascalientes . The absolute height is 1880 meters above sea level [1] .
Population
According to data obtained during the official census of 2005, 9,639 people (4,689 men and 4,950 women) lived in the city. There were 2117 houses. According to the age range, the population was distributed as follows: 44.8% - residents under 18 years old, 50% - between 18 and 59 years old and 5.2% - aged 60 years and older. The literacy rate among residents over 15 years old was 96.9% [2] .
