Gennady Vasilyevich Kiyko (1939–2019) - Director of the Dneprospetsstal plant, laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology.

He was born on October 6, 1939 in Stalin (Donetsk). He graduated from the Donetsk Polytechnic Institute with a degree in metallurgical engineering (1961).

He worked at the Dneprospetsstal plant: assistant foreman, foreman (1963-1965), shift supervisor (1965-1966) of the rolling mill, deputy chief of the plant’s production department (1966-1976), and since 1976 - rolling mill chief and chief engineer.

In 1990-1991, head of the department for the development of industry, transport and communications of the Zaporizhzhya regional executive committee.

since 1991 - director, since 1993 - chairman of the board, since 1999 - 1st deputy. Chairman of the Board - Director for Finance and Economics of Dneprospetsstal JSC.

Candidate of Technical Sciences.

Laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology (1996). Honored Worker of Industry of Ukraine (4.10.1994). He was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor.

He died on February 28, 2019. He was buried in Kapustyanoy cemetery.
