Trunovo is an abolished village on the territory of the Begunitsky rural settlement of the Volosovsky district of the Leningrad region .

History
The village is not mentioned on the map of the St. Petersburg province of F. F. Schubert in 1834 and in the "Description of the St. Petersburg province by counties and camps" of 1838 [1] [2] .

According to the “Topographic Map of Parts of the St. Petersburg and Vyborg Provinces” of 1860, the village was called Trunovtsy and consisted of 12 peasant households . To the east of the village was the Former village of Trunovtsy [4] .
TRUNOVITSI (TRUNOVO) - a village owned by wells, the number of yards - 19, the number of inhabitants: 35 m., 48 w. paragraph [5] . (1862 year)
In the XIX - early XX centuries, the village administratively belonged to the Begunitsky volost of the 4th zemsky district of the 2nd camp of the Peterhof district of the St. Petersburg province.
According to the Memorial Book of the St. Petersburg Province in 1905, the village formed the Trunovo Rural Society [6] .
From 1917 to 1921, the village of Trunovo was part of the Trunovsky village council of the Begunitsky volost of Peterhof district.
Since 1921, as part of the Rukulitsky Village Council.
Since 1922, as part of the Korostovitsky Village Council.
Since 1923, as part of the Gatchina district .
Since 1924, as part of the Mestanovsky Village Council.
Since 1927, as part of the Volosovsky district.
In 1928, the population of the village was 125 people [7] .
According to 1933, the village was part of the Mestanovsky village council of the Volosovsky district [8] .
According to the topographic map of 1938, the village numbered 22 yards.
From August 1, 1941 to December 31, 1943 the village was under occupation.
Since January 1, 1964, the village has not had a permanent population [7] .
According to 1966, the village of Trunovo was part of the Mestanovsky village council [9] .
By the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated December 21, 1999 No. 1408 “On Assigning Names to Geographical Objects and Renaming Geographical Objects in the Leningrad, Moscow, Perm and Tambov Regions” the village was named Trunovo [10] .
It was abolished on December 28, 2004 by the Regional Law of the Leningrad Region due to the lack of residents [11] .
The current state is a natural boundary .
Geography
The Trunovo tract is located in the northwestern part of the region, west of the highway 41K-014 ( Volosovo -Kernovo).
To the west of it is the Karpinsky swamp.
The distance to the nearest railway station Volosovo is 36 km [9] .
