Geography

It is located on the right side of the Klostervasser River Valley, about 17 kilometers northwest of Budyszyn and two kilometers southeast of the administrative center of Panschwitz-Kukau. A motorway S100 (Bautzen - Kamenz ) passes near the village.

History

Currently, the village is part of the cultural and territorial autonomy of the “ Luzhitsky Settlement Region ”, on the territory of which there are legislative acts of the lands of Saxony and Brandenburg, contributing to the preservation of the Luzhitsky languages and the culture of Luzhic [6] [7] .
