Reserves
On the territory of the Republic of Altai there are two state nature reserves. Both objects are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List under the general name Golden Mountains of Altai .

Natural parks
The existing natural parks are four territories. The Katun Nature Park has lost its status as a park, and one of the territories is in the advanced development stage. Protected areas on the Ukok Plateau are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List as part of the Golden Mountains of Altai .
