KINOPRIME is a private fund for the development of modern cinema. Established in February 2019 by R. Abramovich . [one]
The fund invests in films at the final stage of filming. Financing can reach 50% of the budget picture, but not more than 100 million rubles. In case of commercial success of the film, the fund will receive a share of the profits.
Projects applying for investments pass through the expert council, the editorial and analytical groups of the fund and receive an expert opinion, based on which the investor decides on the allocation of funds. [2] The chairman of the expert council of the foundation is Pavel Chukhrai .
The first project supported by the foundation was the film "Fairy" directed by Anna Melikyan with Konstantin Khabensky in the title role. The fund allocated her 750 thousand dollars.
Contests
Acceptance of applications for support began in April 2019 and is ongoing. In May 2019, the fund's expert group reviewed 33 projects, but only nine were recommended for work.
