International Center for Science and Technology

The International Center for Science and Technology (ICST, ISTC, ISTC) is an international association for the promotion of cooperation with scientists from the newly independent states of the former Soviet Union. ICST is a non-profit organization and is funded mainly from the budget of the European Union . In operation since March 1994. More than 30 thousand scientists from Russia took part in the ICST projects. The purpose of the Center is to fund scientific research of scientists from the new independent states of the former Soviet Union who have been engaged in the branches of the military-industrial complex, in such areas as environmental protection, energy and nuclear safety ^[1] , the creation of new materials, and health care. The donor camps of the ICST are currently the United States , the EU , Japan , Norway and South Korea . The recipient countries are Armenia , Georgia , Kazakhstan , Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan . ICST also deals with solving national and international technical problems, supporting fundamental and applied research, engaging Russian scientists in cooperation with the international scientific community ^[2] .
