Story
Penguin creates an army of radio-controlled penguins , with the help of which it hopes to conquer Gotham. Batman must get to the Penguin's lair and stop him.
Gameplay
The game is a beat 'em up . Levels (streets and buildings of Gotham, Penguin's lair) are designed in the form of two-dimensional graphics. They are enclosed locations on which enemies and obstacles are located; at the end of most levels are bosses .
The versions of NES and SNES , while maintaining the overall plot and gameplay, are very different in graphic performance. The game has a level with a ride on a Batmobile, which in NES is made in the form of a standard scrolling shooter with a side view, and in SNES - using mode 7 and a rear view.
Ratings
German magazine Total! awarded the SNES version a high rating of “1- / 5” (the smaller the better), noting that the game has interesting game elements, but overall it is inferior to other games in the beat 'em up genre [2] . The version for NES from the same publication received a lower rating - “3/5” (the smaller the better). The editors noted that, in general, the game performed well, but the lengthy levels and the meager set of opponents make it boring and monotonous [3] .
