Story
Penguin creates an army of radio-controlled penguins , with which it hopes to conquer Gotham. Batman must get to the Penguin's lair and stop him.
Gameplay
The levels (streets and buildings of Gotham, Penguin's lair) are designed in two-dimensional graphics. They are closed locations where enemies and obstacles are located; At the end of most levels are bosses . In all levels, with the exception of the final, it is possible to choose the direction of the future route at the beginning of the level.
The player, controlling Batman, moves through the levels, destroys enemies and collects useful items. In the arsenal of the character is "betarangi" and a harpoon. "Batarangs" are used to fight the enemies, and the harpoon - to get to some enemies and inaccessible elevations.
Versions of the Sega Master System and the Sega Game Gear are not much different. A significant difference is the increased complexity for the Master System version - the character lacks a health scale , and he dies on the first blow. Part of the increased complexity is offset by a large number of extra lives scattered throughout the levels.
