Battle Girl High School ( バ ト ル ガ ー ル ハ イ ス ク ー ル) Baturouga: ru Haisuku: ru ) is a Japanese game for social networks developed and released by COLOPL April 16, 2015 on the Android and iOS mobile platforms [1] . Since November 30, 2015, the game began to be distributed by the Internet provider So-net in a localized version in Chinese in Hong Kong , Macau and the Republic of China [2] . According to the results of 2015, the game was included in the list of the best Japanese games hosted in the AppStore , according to the version of the service itself, taking 14th place in it [3] .

In April 2016, an announcement was made about the upcoming anime- adaptation of the game [4] , which was entrusted to the studio Silver Link . The director of the picture was previously known for the TV series " Bakuman " and Castle Town Dandelion Noriaki Akitaia [5] . The anime was broadcast on various TV channels in Japan from July 2 to September 17, 2017 [6] .
Content
Story
The game takes place in 2045 in a world that was attacked by mystical invaders - Irouse. Most of the world's population was infected by aliens, and began to feel limited and closed. The main opposing force to the invaders are ordinary Japanese schoolgirls who do not even have weapons. The player is invited to head the Shinjugammine Academy for Women, from which it is necessary to form and train a Star Guard guard squad to fight Iroos, and then recapture all infected areas [4] .
In the anime adaptation, the story focuses on a group of Miki Hoshitsuki, which also includes her friends Subaru Wakaba and Haruka Narumi, who took the initiative in training fighters, combining school responsibilities with acting as pop idols [7] .

Criticism
Anime adaptation of the series received an extremely low rating from reviewers of the Anime News Network portal [7] . Rebecca Silverman noted that female characters are some kind of witch girls who fight with the likeness of mechanical robots , and the series itself contained a large number of opportunities for the development of yuri- relations between the heroines, which made the adaptation potentially attractive to the audience. Nevertheless, Silverman emphasized that despite all this, the beginning of the series did not contain a pronounced focus on some plot aspect (the daily lives of the heroines, the psychological understanding of the war with Iroes), and was also extremely overloaded with characters, many of which were standard anime archetypes that did not arouse interest in the audience. According to the critic, the final adaptation was summed up by the desire to cover all the material of the game, which made it a superficial and mediocre story about cute girls [7] .
Nick Creamer described the series as "a gray, tasteless mass of witch war girls," which clearly did not reach the level of Senki Zesshou Symphogear similar in genre [7] . Like Silverman Krimer, the main problem of the series was the lack of character elaboration, as well as the weakness of the opponents of the main characters, the lack of a serious plot conflict and the poor visual performance of the work, which made even adaptation battle scenes tiring to watch [7] .
