Biography
Axel Ivanovich Boye came from the ancient Bohemian clan Boye , a descendant of immigrants to Finland and the Ostseen lands of the Russian Empire .
Achievement list:
- He was educated in the Naval Cadet Corps (1840-1846).
- 1848-1851 - sailed on the ports of the Gulf of Finland
- 1850 - promoted to lieutenant.
- 1852-1853 went to Gothenberg.
- 1854 - sent to Finland to oversee the construction of 15 gunboats.
- 1855 - appointed adjutant to His Imperial Majesty, Admiral General Grand Duke Konstantin Nikolaevich .
- 1856 - Lieutenant, commander of the screw boat "Sterlet". He was awarded the Order of St. Stanislav III degree .
- 1857 - On the screw corvette “Bayan” , as a senior officer, he moved from Bordeaux to Kronstadt.
- 1858 - He was sent to England, watched for laying a telegraph cable in the ocean from England to America , as reported to Grand Duke Konstantin Nikolaevich [1] , then sailed through the ports of the Mediterranean Sea to Constantinople, from where he arrived in Nikolaev
- 1859 - promoted to lieutenant commander .
- 1860-1861 - on the frigate " Oleg " crossed from Kronstadt to the Mediterranean Sea.
- 1863 - awarded the Order of St. Stanislav II degree.
- 1865 - in England and France was led by Rear Admiral G. I. Butakov, a naval agent)
- 1866 - promoted to Captain 2nd rank.
- 1869 - awarded the Order of St. Anne of the 2nd degree with swords .
- 1870 - promoted to Captain 1st rank.
- 1881 - promoted to rear admiral.
- On September 21, 1881, retired.

Son: Boye Emilius-Reingold Akselevich (? -?), In 1870 promoted to lieutenant commander. [3]
