Marie Theresa of France ( , - , ) - the fourth child and third daughter of the king of France Louis XIV and Maria Theresa of Spain . As the king’s daughter, she was the daughter of France and was known at court as Madame Royal (the eldest daughter of the king). She died at the age of five from tuberculosis.

Life
Maria Teresa was born on January 2, 1667 in the Saint-Germain Palace . Her parents baptized her in the Louvre Palace in 1668. They adored her daughter, and her mother wanted her to become the queen in her native Spain.
She was also known as Little Madame to distinguish her from the wives of her uncle Philip of Orleans , who were known as “First Madame” (Henrietta Stuart) and “Second Madame” (Elizabeth Charlotte of Pfalz) . Little Maria Teresa died of tuberculosis on March 1, 1672 at the Saint-Germain Palace and was buried in the Royal Basilica of Saint-Denis , near Paris, France.
