Distribution
Most of Europe, the east of the Palaearctic ( Russia ) and the Middle East ( trans-Caucasian distribution) [2] [3] .
Description
Length up to 12-13 mm. Eyes are green.
Biology
Adult individuals are active from mid-May to mid-July, most to the end of June. Females suck cattle blood, but mainly feed on nectar. They can also drink human blood. Males eat only nectar.
