History
The plant was founded in 1898 as workshops of the German joint-stock company “Alfred Gutman and Company”. In 1917, the workshops were transformed into the plant "Lift", which became the main Russian supplier of electric bridge cranes. For the first time in the country, escalators for the Moscow Metro were designed and manufactured at the plant.
In 1958, on the basis of the plant "Lift" was established plant "Stankolinia" for the production of automatic lines and special machines for processing parts such as rotation bodies. The plant became the first and only manufacturer of high-precision grinding machines in the Soviet Union.
After the collapse of the USSR, production at the plant began to gradually decline. Later, repairs and modernization of the equipment of their own production and third-party manufacturers were carried out. Renting real estate becomes the main activity of the company displacing production. In January 2010, the machine-tool production was decided to stop.
