Sabbura [1] ( Arabic: صبورة ) - a city in the west of central Syria , located in the governorate of Hama . It is part of the Salamia region. It is the center of the same name Nakhi.

Geographical position
The city is located in the central part of the governorate, at an altitude of 508 meters above sea level [2] .
Sabbura is located approximately 35 kilometers (in a straight line) east of Hama , the provincial capital, and 194 kilometers northeast of Damascus , the country's capital.
Population
According to the official census of 2004, the population of the city was 7141 people (3588 men and 3553 women). There were 1,458 households [3] . In the confessional composition of the population, the Alawites prevail [4] .
Transport
National highway 42 passes through the city. The nearest civilian airport is Aleppo International Airport [2] .
