History
Chervonoarmeysky inter-collective farm brick factory was built in accordance with the sixth five-year plan for the development of the national economy of the USSR and was commissioned in 1957. Its launch ensured the expansion of construction in rural areas of the Zhytomyr region, and an inter-collective farm building organization was established in the regional center [1] .
In 1958, the plant produced 2140 thousand pieces. bricks and 16 thousand pieces. shingles. In the following years, the Chervonoarmi flax plant, the Ocheretyansk inter-farm power station, the Kurnensky vegetable drying plant and other buildings and structures were built using the brick produced by the plant [1] .
In general, in Soviet times, the plant was among the leading enterprises of the district center [1] [2] [3] , its dormitory and other social infrastructure were on its balance.
