Rakia Satarkulovna Shershenova (born May 15, 1941) is a Soviet and Kyrgyz cinematographer. Honored Worker of Culture of the Kyrgyz SSR .

Biography
She was born in 1941 in the Chui valley, in the village of Orto-Aryk, Panfilov district, Chui region of the Kyrgyz SSR in the family of a collective farmer.
In 1959 she graduated from high school number 5 named. A.S. Pushkin in the city of Frunze and went to work in the assembly shop of the Frunze film studio.
From 1967 to 1969 she studied in absentia at the philological faculty of the Kyrgyz State Women's Pedagogical Institute. V.V. Mayakovsky .
In 1968, she underwent a three-month training in the specialty of "Film Editor" at VGIK at the department for improving the knowledge of creative and leading personnel of cinema.
She worked as a director and editor at the national film studio " Kirghizfilm ".
Carried out the installation, in particular, of the film-winner of the Berlin festival The Descendant of the White Leopard .
Over two decades of work at the "Kyrgyzfilm" R. Shershenova mastered the secrets of his rare profession. She edited such famous documentaries as “Following the Spring” (1967), “Muras” (1969), “Boom” (1969), “Naryn Diary” (1971), “In the Year of the Restless Sun” (1977).
