Biography
Mirzazadeh virus was born on January 1, 1944 in the city of Baku. After graduating from high school, in 1966 he graduated from the Baku Art College named after Azim Azimzade . In 1972, he graduated from the Moscow Higher Art School. In the same year he was admitted to the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan . [one]
Since the 1970s, the artist has been working both in monumental and decorative , as well as in the field of easel painting , and these two areas of activity are combined in his work. The artist is a famous representative of the Azerbaijani school of painting. He is an artist who makes a special contribution to the enrichment of contemporary art in Azerbaijan. In his work, Sirus Mirzazade created a synthesis of traditional and modern, combined national and interethnic. [2]
Over the long period of his creative activity, the artist has created many works. Since 1972, he has regularly been awarded numerous awards at national, all-Union and international exhibitions. Personal exhibitions were held in 1987 in Baku and Moscow , in 1995 in France and Turkey .
Mirzazade's works were exhibited in Azerbaijan, Russia, Iran, Turkey, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, France, Cuba, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, Great Britain, the USA and Italy. His works are kept in museums and private collections. [3]
Currently, Sirus Mirzazade is engaged in teaching activities at the Azerbaijan State Academy of Arts .
Rewards
In 1996 he was awarded the Humay Prize.
In 2002, he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan . [four]
May 27, 2018 was awarded the title of " People's Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan ." [five]
