Biography
In 1903 (according to other sources in 1902) in the village of Lopatino is now the village of Kovarditsy , Vladimir Region , Pelageya Ivanovna Kunitsyna was born.
She received her primary education and in 1917 she left to work as a weaver in the city of Ivanovo . In 1941, she returned to her native land, to her village, worked on the collective farm "New Life".
In 1946, according to the resettlement program, she moved to the Kaliningrad region, to the village of Murom . She began to work as a link at the Victory collective farm.
In 1948, after two lean seasons, the Kunitsyna link received a record 30.1 centners of wheat per hectare of sowing, and 29.2 centners of rye [1] .
These achievements were not left without attention. Pelageya Ivanovna was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor and was awarded the Order of Lenin . She became the first Hero of Socialist Labor in the Kaliningrad region [2] .
She was elected to the regional Council of Deputies of the I convocation [3] .
She died in 1951.
