Bagautdin Adzhiev was born in 1950 in the city of Makhachkala of the Dagestan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic in the family of the national poet of Dagestan Anvar Adzhiev. Graduated from Daggosuniversitet.

In 1978, the first collection of poems by Ajiev - “The willow pipe” was published.
