Romanchuk, Alexander Vladimirovich (general)

Alexander Vladimirovich Romanchuk (born 1959 , Lugansk , USSR , USSR ) is a Russian military commander, head of the MV Frunze All-Arms Academy (since 2019), lieutenant general (2013) [1] .

Biography

Born April 15, 1959 in the city of Lugansk . He graduated from the Baku Higher Combined Arms Command School named after the Supreme Council of the Azerbaijan SSR in 1980, the Military Academy of Armored Forces named after Marshal of the Soviet Union R. Y. Malinovsky in 1989, the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces in 2008.

From November 2003 to July 2006 - commander of the 4th Guards Tank Kantemirovsky Division named after Yu. V. Andropov .

From July 2009 to August 2010 - Chief of Staff of the 41st Combined Arms Army , stationed in Novosibirsk .

From August 2010 to January 2011 - the acting commander of the 29th combined arms army of the Eastern Military District, which included military units of the former Siberian Military District located on the territory of the Trans-Baikal Territory [2] .

By presidential decree of January 9, 2011 he was appointed commander of the 29th combined arms army [3] .

February 22, 2013 awarded the military rank of “ Lieutenant General ”.

In July 2014, he was appointed deputy commander of the troops of the Southern Military District. In 2016, he was the chief military adviser in Syria.

In 2019, he was appointed head of the Military Training and Scientific Center of the Ground Forces "Combined-Arms Academy of the RF Armed Forces named after M.V. Frunze ."
