Etymology
On some maps, the pass is called Durved-davaa [2] , which is an old interpretation of the modern word Derbet , the ethnic name of the Western Mongols. The second root ( Mong. Davaa, daba - pass. Derbat Daba - Derbet pass [3] ..
Description
The state border of Russia and Mongolia runs along the saddle of the pass. At the pass there is a checkpoint of Russian border guards. From the Russian side, the road to the pass is completely asphalted, from the Mongolian side today (2019) only a dirt road is suitable for the pass. The pass is located in a completely treeless area, in the zone of the high mountain tundra, on the Saylyugem ridge.
