Aldama ( Spanish Aldama ) is a municipality in Mexico , Chihuahua with the administrative center in the city of Juan Aldama . The population, according to the 2010 census, was 22,302 people, and according to statistical calculations in 2015 - 24,761 people.

Content
General Information
The area of the municipality is 9216 km², which is 3.72% of the total area of the state [3] , and the highest point is 1730 meters, located in the settlement of San Nicolas [1] .
It borders with other municipalities of Chihuahua: in the north, with Koyame del Sotol , in the east with Ohinaga , in the south with Julimens , Rosales and Akiles-Serdan , and in the west with Chihuahua .
Establishment and composition
The municipality was formed in 1825 , the name was given on September 7, 1826 in honor of the revolutionary Juan Aldama [4] .

According to 2000 statistics, the working population is employed by sector in the following proportions: agriculture, cattle breeding and fishing - 22.8%, industry and construction - 40.1%, services and tourism - 33.1%, other - 4.1% [3] .
Infrastructure
According to the statistics of 2010, the infrastructure is developed as follows [3] :
- electrification: 99.6%;
- water supply: 99.1%;
- water disposal: 98.9%.
