Giblin Peak is a mountain in the ridge (and national park) [2] . It is located in the northeast of the state of Tasmania (Australia), has a height of 1569 meters above sea level [1] [3] , making it the 3rd in the list of the highest mountains of Tasmania and the 11th in the . The relative height of the peak is 9 meters, the is 0.34 kilometers.

Giblin Peak is located in an impassable sparsely populated part of the island, so it was first explored and conquered only at the beginning of the 20th century. From 1905 to 1912, an officer and ornithologist (1841-1918) conducted a large-scale expedition to study the region. The group included statistician-economist , who conquered this peak (as part of the group), calculated its exact height and named in honor of his father, , from 1878 to 1884 [4] [5] [6] .
