Biography
In his youth he played for the clubs Skonto-Metals , Auda and Avots. He made his debut in the top league of Latvia in 2001 as part of Ventspils , having played one match per season. In 2002, he spent 10 matches in the big leagues as a part of "Auda".
In 2003, he first moved to a foreign club - Lithuanian Ekranas , but played only one match in the Lithuanian championship .
Then he played in Latvia for Dinaburg , and from mid-2004 - again for Ventspils. In 2005, he spent 15 matches from 28 team games and became the bronze medalist of the championship. In 2006, when Ventspils first became the champion, Davydov lost the goalkeeper's post to Andris Vanin and did not play a single match, in 2007 he returned to the squad and took part in 17 meetings, his club also became the country's champion in 2007.
In 2008 he moved to Daugava (Daugavpils) [1] , where he was the main goalkeeper and won the Latvian Cup . In the final match against Ventspils, he did not miss a single hit in the series after the penalty shoot-out [2] . In the first half of 2009, he played for a club from the same city - Dinaburg .
In the summer of 2009 he moved to the Belarusian club Shakhtar (Salihorsk) [3] , in his composition in 2009 he played 7 matches in the major league of Belarus . In 2010, he was also part of the club, but played only for the double. In 2011 he played in the championship of Uzbekistan for “ Mashal ” [4] and played 12 matches.
In the first half of 2012 he played in Latvia for Jurmala . In the summer of 2012, he moved to the Lithuanian Suduva [5] , where he spent one and a half seasons, being the main goalkeeper, becoming the bronze medalist of the Lithuanian Championship (2012) and participating in European Cup matches. In 2014 he moved to Jurmala “Spartak” , where in addition to playing the goalkeeper, was an assistant to the Italian head coach Fabio Mikarelli [6] .
At the end of his career he spent half the season in the first league of Belarus for Smorgon and in the major league of Latvia for Daugavpils . At the end of the 2016 season ended his career.
