Connman is designed by the lightweight, not requiring a large number of system resources, service ( daemon ). This makes it easy to integrate it into most Linux-based systems.
It has a modular architecture that can be expanded through plugins , which allows you to use all types of wired and wireless connections. Using plug-ins, network configuration methods (such as DHCP ) and domain name resolution are also implemented. The manager is easy to configure and can be adapted for use in a wide variety of configurations. Originally created as part of Intel Moblin , it is now used in OpenELEC and therefore in Sailfish OS and Jolla , which are based on it.
