Biography
Alexander the Great appointed Demarch to the post of satrap of Hellespont Phrygia instead of Callas . Helmut Berwe believes that Demarch took into account the experience of his predecessor and did not conduct active hostilities in the region.
After the death of Alexander during the first distribution of satrapies in 323 BC. er The Hellespont Phrygia was given to Leonnat .
