Biography
Born on June 17, 1978 in the village of Nakwasha in the Lviv region.
From 1985 to 1995, he studied at the Nakvashan Secondary School, and in 1996 entered the first year of the Lviv Theological Seminary, from which he graduated in 2000.
From 2003 to 2008, he studied at the Faculty of Philosophy and Theology at the Chernivtsi National University named after Yuriy Fedkovich and received a diploma in religious studies .
On July 23, 2006, Metropolitan Methodius (Kudryakov) , Metropolitan of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church, was ordained a deacon , and on October 1, 2006, he was ordained a presbyter . Enrolled in the clergy of the Ternopil diocese and appointed priest of the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ in Ternopil .
On October 29, 2006, he was transferred to the clergy of the Kiev Diocese and appointed a full-time priest at the St. Andrew Cathedral in Kiev .
On March 1, 2007, Patriarch Filaret (Denisenko) was enrolled in the brethren of the St. Michael's Golden-domed monastery and on June 14, 2007, by the Archbishop of Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky, Dimitry (Rudyuk) , the vicar of the monastery was tonsured as a monk with the name Mitrofan in honor of St. Mitrofohir therapist. On June 1, 2012, with the blessing of Patriarch Filaret, by the decree of Archbishop Hilarion of Rivne and Ostrog (Protsyk) , he was appointed governor of in the village of Plyasheva in the Rivne diocese. On July 8, 2012, Archbishop Hilarion was awarded a cross with ornaments, and on March 30, 2013, with the blessing of Patriarch Philaret, the erection of Archimandrite in dignity.
On May 20, 2013, by the decree of Archbishop Hilarion, he was appointed his personal secretary.
On July 27, 2013, the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kiev Patriarchate (Journal of Session No. 31) was elected to be ordained bishop.
August 25, 2013 in the Vladimir Cathedral was consecrated as Bishop of Kharkov and Bogodukhov.
