Catalyzed Reaction

Nicotinate ribonucleotide is transferred to adenosine monophosphate from ATP with the formation of deamino-NAD + and diphosphate. Nicotinamide ribonucleotide is also possible as a substrate.
Functions
A person has two farms of this group: NMNAT1 and NMNAT2 . NMNATs have a neuroprotective effect that is independent of their enzymatic activity and suggests the role of chaperone . NMNAT1 stimulates the activity of PARP-1 and binds to poly- (ADP-ribose) [1] [2] [3] .
