Emma Wyatt Wilson ( born Emma Wyatt Wilson , nee Dysart ; May 12, 1870 - October 13, 1983 ) is an American centenarian. From November 13, 1982, until her death, she was the oldest living person in the world.

Biography
Emma Wilson was born in Buchanan ( Missouri ). Her parents were James and Catherine Martin-Dysart. On May 9, 1914, she married George Barlet Wilson in Eve , Douglas . The couple had no children. Before retiring, Emma worked as a teacher. She was widowed in 1945.
In November 1982, after the death of Nelly Spencer , Emma Wilson became the oldest living person in the world.
She died on October 13, 1983 at the age of 113 years, 154 days.
