“ I've Been Waiting ” was a song by American rappers Lil Peep and iLoveMakonnen together with American pop punk band Fall Out Boy , released January 31, 2019 via Columbia Records . The single was originally recorded by Lil Peep and Maconnen. ILoveMakkonen admitted that after the death of Lil Peep, Fall Out Boy backing singer Pete Wentz expressed his condolences. He then told Wentz that both he and Lil Peep were fans of the Fall Out Boy. After that, ILoveMakkonen decided to offer the group a song that, in his opinion, was best for them. [ten]

On February 28, 2019, a vertical video clip was released on Lil Pip's YouTube channel for the track, which was directed by Sus Boy. [14]
On April 8, 2019, a new video clip was announced in Lil Peep's Instagram account, which was due out in a couple of days [15] . The director of the video was Andrew Donohoe, who shot clips for artists such as Khalid , Twenty One Pilots , Janelle Monet , Tinashi and other artists. [sixteen]

Video clip
The video sequence turned out colorful, with an abundance of computer graphics. According to the musicians, such a video allows Lil Peep fans to plunge into the fairy-tale world of his mind again. The video is dedicated to all people who are able to see the magic around them.
In the very first frames, the image of the rapper emerges from the branches of the trees of the fairy forest. In a clearing between the trees, ILoveMakonnen plays the snow-white piano and sings a song. Pink centipedes run past and sparkling fireflies fly. A huge night moth captivates the artist behind him, opening the portal to a world of even greater magic. There, in the meadow, the hero is already waiting for a colorful balloon. He takes it high into the sky, and then lands at a waterfall. At the festive table for tea, Fall Out Boy, ILoveMakonnen and a giant moth gathered. [18]
