Biography

Born into a small peasant family. He graduated from a vocational school in Vishnevtsy and an agronomical and forestry school (now the Kremenetsky Forestry College ) in Belokrinitsa . He worked as an agronomist at the Knyazhina estate.

In December 1939 he moved to the German occupation zone , joined the OUN in Krakow , and served in Werkshutz ( auxiliary police of the governor-general of Poland ). From 1940 he worked in the Third Reich . From May 1, 1943 in the Kremenetsky detachment of the UPA-OUN under the command of " Khrina ", a platoon , participated in the murder of Exarch A.Ya. Gromadsky . In July 1943, he moved to the Dubensky Kuren, UPA-OUN, centesimal , from March 1944, the smoked UPA-South in the Kremenetchina .

On February 28, 1944, a joint operation took place on the 4th regiment of the SS division Galichina and UPA to destroy the Polish village of Guta Penyatka in the Lviv region . As a result of the attack, about 1,200 civilians of this settlement, including women and children , were killed and burned , and another 160 people were saved. Hundreds of houses were also burned. The UPA squadron that participated in the operation was personally led by the former policeman M. A. Skorupsky, who (according to Polish data) reapplied the experience gained in destroying the population in Podkamen .

In May 1944 he moved to the West . After the war, he was a coherent OUN and American intelligence . In 1950 he emigrated to the United States, became a church and public figure, the chairman of the Volga State University , field conductor OUN in the USA.
