Geographical position
The village is located in the western part of Chad, on the border of the Sahel and the Sahara , south-west of the city of Mao , at an altitude of 308 meters above sea level [1] . The settlement is located approximately 214 kilometers north-northeast (NNE) from the capital of the country, N'Djamena .
Climate
The climate of the village is characterized as arid hot ( BWh in the Köppen climate classification ). The average annual temperature is 28.8 ° C. The average temperature of the coldest month (January) is 22.7 ° C, the hottest month (May) is 33.5 ° C. The estimated multi-year rainfall is 280 mm. During the year, the amount of precipitation is unevenly distributed, the bulk of them falling between May and October. The greatest amount of precipitation falls in August (135 mm) [2] .
