Dmitry Sergeyevich Konkov (born January 19, 1976 in the city of Frolovo, Volgograd Region) is a Russian politician. Member of the State Duma of the VI convocation, member of the State Duma committee on labor, social policy and affairs of veterans. Member of the faction "United Russia" [1] .

Biography
In 1997, he received a secondary technical education with a degree in forestry and forestry engineering, and graduated from the Archedinsky Forestry College after completing military service. In 2001, received his second technical education at the Zhirnovsky Petroleum College. In 2006, he graduated with a degree in “exploitation and development of oil and gas fields” at the Samara State Technical University [2] .
From 1994 to 1996 - served in the Armed Forces, participated in hostilities in the North Caucasus. From 1997 to 2001, after graduating from a technical school, he worked as a watchman in the Nizhnevolzhskaya Fuel Company and in its subsidiary Top-Service. From 2001 to 2011, he worked at LLC Lukoil-Volgogradneftegaz, first as a fitter for the repair of oilfield equipment, and from 2009 transferred to the position of operator for oil and gas production.
In 2011, he joined the All-Russian Popular Front and took part in the primaries of "United Russia", according to the results of which he entered the list of candidates for deputies of the State Duma.
In December 2011, he ran for the State Duma on the lists of "United Russia", as a result of the distribution of mandates elected. deputy of the State Duma of the VI convocation [3] .
In July 2014, he resigned from office ahead of schedule. As the deputy himself explained, after a conversation with the Governor of Volgograd Region Andrei Bocharov, he received an offer to go to work in the Ministry of Social Protection, and in September 2014 he will participate in the elections to the Volgograd Regional Duma [4] [5] . In July 2014, the vacant mandate of Konkov was transferred to the chairman of the Volgograd City Council, the head of Volgograd, Irina Guseva [6] . As a result, Sergei Konkov did not get a place in the Ministry of Social Protection, in July 2015 he was appointed head of the State Treasury Social Service Institution “Volgograd Regional Center for Medical and Social Rehabilitation of Elderly and Disabled Citizens” [7] .
