Club career
A native of São José do Rio Preto , Igor began his football career in the youth teams of the clubs America (São José do Rio Preto) and Tanabi. At the age of 14, he became a player in the football academy of the São Paulo Club. At the beginning of 2016 he was transferred to the team under 17 years old, and by the end of the year - into the team under 20 years old [1] . In 2018, as part of the reserve team, São Paulo won the Brazilian Youth Cup [2] . September 11, 2018 extended his contract with the club until 2023 [3] .
On September 26, 2018, Anthony , Elinho and Igor Gomis were transferred to the first São Paulo team [4] . On November 26, 2018, Igor made his debut in the main team of the “three-color”, replacing the match against “ Sport Recife ” [5] .
Team Career
As part of the Brazilian national team under 20, Igor played at the South American Championship [6] , having played eight matches. According to press reports, his performances at the tournament were followed by scouts of the Ajax Amsterdam [7] .
