Biography

Born in Balti in a family of history teachers [1] . He graduated from the Leningrad Polytechnic Institute . In 1968-1971 he completed postgraduate studies at the A. F. Ioffe Leningrad Physical-Technical Institute under the guidance of L. E. Gurevich [2] . The first scientific publications date back to 1969 [3] . In 1971 he applied for travel to Israel, but received permission in 1976; being in denial by profession did not work [4] .

After emigrating, he completed a doctorate at the Haifa Technion , then was accepted as a researcher in the laboratory of strong magnetic fields at the Max Planck Institute in Grenoble , where he later became a professor and head of the theoretical group at the Joseph Fourier University of the National Center for Scientific Research . In 1998, he settled in Bat Yam. In the last years of his life, he is professor and dean of the communications engineering department of the Institute of Technology in Holon [5] [6] .

The main works in the field of quantum interactions in a strong magnetic field [7] , spintronics [8] , quantum computing [9] .
